Participant Instructions

Safety First!

  • Absolutely nothing may be thrown, such as candy or trinkets, or sprayed into the crowd at any time during the parade including liquid either thrown from buckets or squirted from water pistols. This applies to everyone, including those who ride and those who walk.
  • No firearms, even using blanks, may be discharged during the parade.
  • Every PARTICIPANT must maintain a minimum 30-foot safe following distance between entries (50 foot if following an entrant with children under the age of 12).
  • Every PARTICIPANT entering animals in the parade must provide sanitation services for their animals.
  • Every PARTICIPANT will follow directives of parade safety monitors.

If You Have Animals

If you have animals in your entry, you are responsible for cleaning up after them. No sanitation service is provided by the parade organizers.

Participant Arrival Time

Checkin starts at 7:00

All participants are asked to come to the parade staging area between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.

All participants are asked to proceed along Thunderbird Drive from the intersection of Thunderbird and Shadow Mountain. Just beyond this intersection Rotary volunteers will guide you to staging of vehicles and parking for those walking.

When you get to the registration you will be directed as to where to park your vehicles or float.    Only those actually participating in the parade should be at the church with their group.  Vehicle and float spaces are first come first serve.

Parking

If you are dropping off anyone participating in the parade, you cannot bring your vehicle past the registration area unless the vehicle is in the parade.  Parking is available at the Coronado Baptist Church on Thunderbird and Shadow Mt. 

Parade Start

The parade will start moving onto the street at 9:00. It is expected to take up to an hour for all entrants to be on the street.

Parade Finish

After the parade all participants are requested to help minimize congestion by continuing up Cloudview  beyond the High Scool and its parking lots.
